Silver Screen Suicide

Truth lies beyond the silver screen…

Filmed in 2021, Silver Screen Suicide follows a lonely alcoholic, who after a rough night, becomes mesmerized when his favorite classic movie star begins to talk to him through his television set.

Directed by Kyle Hartford, the film has premiered in several film festivals, including the Annapolis Film Festival.

Two nights, one film…

Originally, Silver Screen Suicide was meant to become part of a larger production, but eventually transformed into the short film we have today. I helped out as an uncredited producer and second sound assistant.

As a producer, I assisted Kyle financially, helping him hire artists and actors for the short film. I additionally offered guidance by reviewing script drafts and offering suggestions on set. As a sound assistant, I operated a boom microphone connected to a Zoom recorder. I ensured that sound recorded was clear, and properly balanced.

The entire short was filmed in the span of two nights, in very cold weather. Fighting through the elements, our entire crew was able to produce a fantastic movie with an intriguing storyline. BEAVER Corps will be helping to distribute the short film throughout several different vendors in the coming months, and I’m excited to see what I can help Kyle create next.
