Other Student Films

20+ stories in 4 years…

Throughout my time in the PVA Film program, I personally created over 20 projects, including short films like Crystal and Wild Bunch, a 3-part episodic web show called Alec for President, and even a full feature length film titled Incontinuous. With each project, I pushed my limits and experimented with new techniques like animation, rotoscoping, and time remapping. I would take time to gather feedback from classmates, teachers, and friends to understand what worked, and what didn’t, so that future films I created would be better than the last. Building on success and learning from mistakes helped me build a large portfolio of student films that I still look back on for inspiration today.

Despite working on so many of my own short films, I still found time to assist other classmates in their projects, operating in a variety of roles, including as an actor, a scriptwriter, cinematographer, and assistant editor. These projects were some of my earliest collaborative experiences and working on group or class projects like Voices of Vietnam are some of my most cherished memories from high school.
